Leap Card holders can bring a 'plus 1' for free this February bank holiday weekend

Leap Card holders can bring a friend for free on their public transport journey this coming February bank holiday weekend as part of Transport For Ireland’s ‘Leap + 1’ promotion.

The ‘Leap + 1’ promotion runs from Saturday 4th to Monday 6th February 2023, and is valid for all adult and child Leap Card holders.

The promotion will be in place on the following public transport and subsidised services:

  • Dublin Bus

  • Luas

  • Go-Ahead Ireland

  • TFI Local Link

  • Irish Rail

    • Short hop zone DART and Commuter Services

    • Cork Commuter Network

  • Kilkenny City KK1/KK2

  • Naas – Blanchardstown Route 139

  • Limerick City – Castletroy Route 310

To avail of the ‘Leap + 1’ promotion on buses, you simply need to present or tap your Leap Card when getting on to a bus and tell the driver who your plus one is.

Train station turnstiles will be either staffed or left open to to accommodate passengers and their guests for the duration of the promotion.

Leap card passengers will need to travel with their guests for the full duration of the journey.
