Luas Red Line services are set to remain suspended between Connolly and The Point stops for several weeks following damage caused by the recent Docklands fire in Dublin city.

The operator confirmed that significant engineering assessments are under way to determine the full extent of the damage. While these works continue, Luas is examining options for a dedicated replacement bus service to connect the affected section of the line.

Although services on the rest of the Red Line are operating as normal, the closure impacts many passengers travelling to and from Dublin’s Docklands area, including those accessing major venues such as the 3Arena, the Convention Centre Dublin, and Spencer Dock.

In the meantime, passengers can walk between Connolly and The Point in around 15–20 minutes. Connolly Station, George’s Dock, and Mayor Square stops remain accessible for journeys to and from the city centre.

For further updates, passengers should check the Luas website.
