Irish Rail is warning passengers to expect a busy weekend, with GAA championship matches at Croke Park and Dermot Kennedy concerts at the Aviva Stadium driving high demand for rail travel.
Many train services to and from Dublin have already sold out. To help passengers travelling home after the concerts, Irish Rail has scheduled an additional late-night service from Dublin Heuston to Kildare on both nights, departing at 12:35am. Customers searching for the service online should select 12 July or 13 July, depending on their travel date.
Passengers are being advised to arrive at stations early, allow extra time for their journeys and follow staff directions during busy periods.
