Weekend travel guide: Major events to affect transport across Dublin
Anyone travelling around Dublin this weekend should allow extra time for their journey, with several major events expected to increase demand on public transport and lead to temporary road closures, bus diversions and Luas service changes.
On Saturday, 27 June, the Dublin Pride Parade will take place between O'Connell Street and Merrion Square. Other major events include Michael Bublé at Malahide Castle, Calvin Harris at Marlay Park, Ethel Cain at Fairview Park, and two All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-finals at Croke Park: Cork v Mayo and Kerry v Tyrone.
On Sunday, 28 June, Croke Park hosts two further All-Ireland Senior Football Championship quarter-finals—Louth v Monaghan and Galway v Dublin. Other major events include Florence + The Machine at Marlay Park, Calvin Harris at Malahide Castle, Paul Weller at Fairview Park, and Mohanlal Live at the 3Arena.
