Major DART disruption planned for October bank holiday weekend

DART passengers are being advised of significant service disruption over the October bank holiday weekend due to planned engineering works.

Two separate sections of the DART network will be closed on Saturday 24, Sunday 25 and Monday 26 October.

On the southside, there will be no train services between Grand Canal Dock and Bray.

Separately, on the northside, there will be no train services between Howth Junction & Donaghmede and Howth.

As a result of the two closures, DART services will operate only between Malahide and Grand Canal Dock during the works.

A number of stations will be closed for the duration of the works, including:

  • Bayside

  • Sutton

  • Howth

  • Lansdowne Road

  • Sandymount

  • Sydney Parade

  • Booterstown

  • Blackrock

  • Seapoint

  • Salthill & Monkstown

  • Dún Laoghaire

  • Sandycove & Glasthule

  • Glenageary

  • Dalkey

  • Killiney

  • Shankill

  • Woodbrook.

Passengers travelling through the affected areas will, however, be able to use the Leap Cards they normally use on Iarnród Éireann services on other TFI public transport services during the works.

Normal services are expected to resume following the completion of the engineering works.
