Bus Éireann’s NX service between Navan and Dublin will run more frequently at peak times from Sunday 11 October 2026. The changes also include a new Dublin city centre terminus and the withdrawal of several existing stops.
For passengers, the main changes are:
Two extra weekday morning departures from Navan, at 5am and 5.20am.
Buses approximately every 15 minutes at peak times, compared with every 20 minutes currently, with increased frequency also provided during the evening peak from Dublin.
A new arrival point at Moss Street, close to Tara Street Station.
Departures towards Navan from Pearse Street, replacing the existing routing from Wilton Terrace.
Which Dublin stops will no longer be served?
From 11 October, NX services towards Navan will no longer pick up passengers at:
Wilton Terrace — stop 135311
Holles Street — stop 493
Westland Row — stop 8513
Services towards Dublin will no longer serve:
Westland Row Church — stop 111761
Holles Street — stop 409
Wilton Terrace — stop 135411.
If you normally board at Wilton Terrace, Holles Street or Westland Row for a journey to Navan, you will need to use a stop on the revised route. Pearse Street is the new city centre departure point; Moss Street is the arrival terminus.
What does this mean for your journey?
Passengers arriving at Moss Street will be close to DART and commuter rail connections at Tara Street Station. However, those travelling to destinations around Merrion Square, Holles Street or Wilton Terrace should plan the remaining part of their journey, as the NX will no longer continue through that area.
The National Transport Authority says the shorter city centre routing is intended to reduce congestion-related delays and improve reliability.
Before travelling, check Bus Éireann’s NX timetable and route information for your departure time and boarding stop. The improved frequency applies during peak periods, so passengers should check individual departures at other times rather than assume a 15-minute service throughout the day.
